How To Do A Spa Day For Your Husband

My Hubs is very hard to buy for.  If he doesn't have something, he goes out and buys it.   There is nothing he needs.
I have to get really creative when I want to surprise him with a gift.   I had been wracking my brain trying to figure out something to do for him.  Then I came up with a Spa Day.

What was nice about a Spa Day is.... it cost me nothing but my time.  I had everything I needed on hand.  And just so you know... my Hubs was thrilled with his Spa Day.

So what did I do for the special day?

. First, I made a Spa Day Itinerary and printed it out for my Hubs.  I gave it to him a couple of days before so he could clear his calendar.
. Light Stretching Exercises
. A short brisk walk through our neighborhood
. Sunrise Breakfast on the back porch with a fire in our outdoor fireplace
. Lunch served outdoors
. Snack Time
. Foot Massage
. Hand Massage
. Arm, Shoulder and neck massage
. Body Massage

The day or so before the Spa Day, I prepared most of the food so I would have it ready.   Breakfast was prepared the day of  since it was a vegetable and cheese omlet with a piece of banana bread that I had made the day before and put into the fridg.
For lunch I made tuna salad (prepared the night before)  With the tuna, I a made a bed of lettuce and put tomatoes on top with a lemon and oil dressing.  He also had another piece of banana bread.  He swears it is the best ever.  Actually it was my mothers recipe.  I will put the recipe at the end of this post.  It is so good.  We use coconut sugar in place of cane sugar.
Snack was a mocha smoothie made with frozen bananas, mocha protein powder and milk.
Dinner was zucchini parmesan and organic corn on the cob.  I had made the zucchini parm 2 days before.   I made it in a one serving size dishes.  Normally I freeze them, but I saved one out just for this day.

Here is the Spa Day Itinerary

7:30 AM  Be dressed in your workout clothing for light stretching in the exercise room

8:00 AM  A light Sunrise breakfast will be served on the back porch (weather permitting)

8:30 AM  After breakfast you will enjoy a cup of herbal coffee along with an herbal foot soak.  After soaking for 1/2 hour, you with get a foot massage. (Bring an audio book and cd player, or something else to keep you busy.

9:30 AM Free Time.. Use this time to be on your computer or phone. (By the way, the phone and computer are to only be used during free time.)

10:30 AM A short refreshing walk through the neighborhood.

11:00 AM  Lunch will be served on the back porch where you will hear the chirping of many birds.

11:30 AM  You will recieve a facial.  Right after you can take a nap or have free time.

2:00 PM Snack Time

2:30 PM Enjoy a light hand massage and a manicure

3:00 PM Following the hand massage, an arm, neck and shoulder massage will be given.

3:30 PM Free Time So I can make dinner.

4:30 PM Dinner is served

5:00 PM Free Time so I can clean up dishes... then you will get a body massage with a happy ending.

This was fun and fairly easy to do.  You notice I gave free time.... that was so I could prepare for the different events going on.

Banana Bread
1 3/4 Cups Flour (I use organic flour)
1 1/4 teaspoons Baking Powder
1/2  teaspoons Baking Soda
3/4  teaspoons Salt
1/3 Cup Butter or Shortening softened
2/3 Cup Sugar ( I use coconut sugar)
2  Eggs
1 1/2 Cup Mashed Banana (About 4 Bananas)
1/2  Cup Chopped nuts of choice (Pecans or Walnuts taste great)

Cream together using a mixer... Butter and sugar.
Add eggs, beating until creamy
Add Bananas
Then add dry ingredients
Stir in nuts

9 1/2 X 5 1/2 Greased bread pan ( I used 2 small cake pans so it would bake faster)

Bake at 350* for 60 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean
