element Beginner Level Yoga For Toning Flexibility & Stress Relief

I love doing yoga, and beginner level is perfect for me.  Why?  I have had a hip replacement... plus... I am no spring chick.  So the beginner level works well for me.   I also have Alanna's Beginner Level Yoga DVD that I do practically every day.  Now I have this one to switch off with.

I am not as flexible as I use to be and my range of motion isn't what it used to be either, so I am happy that Alanna is helping me work on that.   Actually, Alanna helps me keep my back in place with her beginner level yoga program.  Now, that have have these two DVDs, there should be no excuse.

The three beginner level programs for toning, flexibility and stress relief are designed to help you receive all the benefits that yoga has to offer and feel like you are getting a one-on-one instruction in the comfort of your home.

Toning focuses on toning muscle and building strength while emphasizing core stability.  It uses traditional yoga poses as strength training exercises to create a beautiful and balanced shape for your entire body.

Flexibility is designed to increase the flexibility in your major muscle groups and improve your free range of motion.  The goal is to help you move through all the activities of your day with ease and comfort.

Stress Relief takes you through a slow moving sequence to calm your mind while unwinding away an stress from your body.  It includes added breath meditation and verbal inspiration to help you let go and relax deeply, free of any tension.

Anyone can `do` yoga.  The challenge isn't so much about perfecting the complicated poses.  It's in finding the teacher who can help anyone be present and learn to be more compassionate with one's self, while also making the physical aspects of the posture clear as well.  The beauty of beginning a yoga practice by DVD is that it allows the best instructors into anyone's home.  Alanna Zabel has turned thousands of people of all ages into yoga lovers with her Element: Beginner Level Yoga DVD.  Now, those yogis, plus those who may have never tried yoga before, may experience her newest DVD, Element: Beginner Level Yoga for Toning, Flexibility & Stress Relief.  It will be available on DVD and to rent or download on Amazon beginning December 6, 2016 with a suggested retail price of $14.98 from Anchor Bay Entertainment.

This DVD provides three yoga practices - for toning, flexibility and stress relief.  In each, Zabel has carefully selected moves that can safely be done at home by beginners.  At the beginning of each section, she opens a dialogue with the user where they are asked to set their intentions, find their focus and use teir breat to reduce stress both on and off the yoga mat.  Here's an example of Alanna's prompts from the flexibility program, "I am flexible, I am able and willing to go with the flow.  When I allow myself to be flexible, I am able to live more happily in each moment, instead of worrying about things going on according to any specific plan"  The DVD was filmed an a serene garden overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Alanna Zabel is the founder of AZIAM Yoga, the author of As I Am, the creator of the Yoga Barre technique and the World's First Yoga Doll collection.  She is a registered E.R.Y.T.-500 yoga instructor, Pilates and fitness instructor with over 24 year of experience teaching yoga.  She was named one of "Hollywood's Hottest Trainers" by Shape Magazine in 2014.  Alanna is passionate about teaching holistic and organic wellness while helping others to discover their authentic self.  As one of the most sought after instructors in the country, Alanna's clients have included everyone from Hollywood executives and busy working moms, to Maroon5's Adam Levine and NBA Rookie of the Year 2005 Emeka Okafor

  1. Beginner level sounds good! I have taken several yoga classes but I have some new challenges (foot surgery, loose ligaments) so I need to be cautious

  2. I am definitely no spring chicken either and I know exactly what you mean about flexibility or the lack thereof! I have never attempted Yoga although my 94 year old Mom swears by it-of course now she does it in a chair!

  6. Yoga originated in India, but surprisingly, a large number of people do not practice it. Why? Because they feel it is against their religion. LOL Actually, yoga means "Union of God" and it has no connection with any religion. By the way, I'd love to watch this DVD and learn some good relaxation techniques.

  10. I have a colleague at work who swears by yoga. She looks great and she says it is all due to doing yoga on a regular basis.

  11. I would love something like this, but we don't have a DVD player down stairs in the "workout" room...AKA our downstairs living room that's turned into my husband's home gym. :)

  12. This sounds like a great way to start yoga. I don't practice it well enough that I feel comfortable taking a class at the gym. Those ladies are so advances and I fall over half the time. I could brush up on my skills at home with this dvd, then hit the gym once I've mastered the beginner level!
