The 2015 Chevrolet Impala From Dave Hallman Chevrolet In Erie, PA.

Last week, we had to take our 2014 Chevy Silverado High Country in for scheduled maintence.  Our truck was going to be in the shop overnight.
We live such a great distance from Hallmans that  we were given a complimentary vehicle to drive back home.

You can not imagine how surprised we were to be given a brand new 2015 Chevy Impala.  It had 0 miles on it.   And NO Hallman did not pay me for this review.  I am doing it all on my own.
This is one SWEET ride!
So let me tell you both my Hubs and My thoughts on the 2015 Chevy Impala

Dennis ~
See those lights in the mirror?  (Sorry bad picture)
Those lights come on where there is another
vehicle in your blind spot.  Both sides of the car
has this feature.   It works GREAT!!
We were given the opportunity to drive a 2015 Chevrolet Impala while our truck was in the shop for service.   This vehicle surprised me with the way it handled.  It was very smooth riding on the highway and relaxing to drive.  All of the controls are at your fingertips.

The feature that was outstanding was the warning signal in the rear view mirrors when there was another vehicle in our blind spot.

This is definitely a vehicle I will be looking at for our next purchase.

Terry ~
See all the leg room? And..  I don't have the seat
all the way back.
So much leg room on the passenger side.  That is very important since I am the passenger 9 times out ouf 50.  I hate to drive!!!
The Impala also has heated seats that are VERY comfortable.   Heated seats is probably the number one thing I look for in a car.

Here is something that is cool that I haven't seen before.  Dennis told you about it above, but it is such a great feature, I want to say it again.
The side view mirrors have a side blind zone alert.   When a car is in our blind zone, the Impala uses radar sensors that are on both sides of the vehicle to help look for other vehicles in your blind zone.
When someone is in your blind spot, lights come on and you had better not cross over.

There are a lot of other safety features in the advanced safety package.
Forward Collision Alert
Side Blind Zone Alert
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Lane Departure Warning
Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control
Crash Imminent Breaking..... This one sounds fantastic..
Included with available Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control, this Chevrolet first uses radar technology to automatically break in certain situations (a potential imminent crash with a vehicle being followed ahead) This can occur if the driver does not react quickly enough to the warning or does not react at all. Available on LTZ.

We take our family with us a lot when we go on vacation so I just want to show you the roomy back seat.

I like the flip down cup holders since our Grandkids think they need to drink in the car.

Here are some things I personally am not interested in, but I am sure a lot of you men are very interested.
305 Horsepower 3.6L V6 Engine
This  can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 6.8 seconds (No we didn't try it)
Or  you can choose the 2.5 4 Cylinder Engine

29/31 Miles Per Gallon City/Highway ( I lied... I am interested in this one!!! )

So, those are just a few things about the Chevy Impala.  If you want to find out more, you will have to visit

Again, I was not paid to do this review.  Our truck was in for scheduled maintenance and we needed something to drive back home.  The 2015 Chevy Impala was just the car they gave us.

  1. My very first car was a Chevy Impala (bought used and it drove over 200,000 miles-then I gave it to a friend who needed a car and they drove it like forever)--back when they were boats--oh how I loved that car. Actually I love Chevy's and only didn't get one once! Currently I have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier-over 200,000 miles and still going!! The new model of the Impala looks extremely good to me. IF I need a new car I will certainly look into this Chevy model! The safety features are amazing.

  3. I just recently bought a car and don't plan on renting one but I will be happy to RT this for those that might be in need of one. Wish I would have read a write up of the car I had before the car I have now.

  5. That is awesome that the dealership gave you a loaner. They are not always keen on doing that. The Impala sounds amazing!!

  6. I love that feature too Terry. I wish all vehicles came with it. I can't tell you how many times I've tried crossing over into a lane just to hear a horn sound near me because I couldn't see him from my mirror. It's really scary. I'm definitely looking for that feature the next time we're buying a vehicle.

    1. I agree. I am short so I have a HUGE blind spot. That feature would make me feel much more comfortable driving on the highways.

  23. My in-laws have had two of them, and they do pow wows in the summer which means they put a LOT of miles on them. Outside of one door having an easily fixable problem, both cars have been absolute gems for them!! I've driven one of theirs twice, and you're right, it's a smooth ride. I like the Impala.

They will be trading hers in again, and I am sure they will be getting another Impala since they love the one they have now so much. And how cool for them to just let you borrow this one while your truck was being worked on. What a great car dealership!
