Feel Good Footwear ~ OOFOS Recovery Footwear Review ~ Feel The OO

I received OOFOS Recovery Footwear to see if they would help the problems I have been having with my feet.  I was not ask to write a review on these shoes and No other form of compensation took place.

Two weeks ago, my Daughter, Granddaughter and I went to New York City for a girls day.    When we go into the city, we try to find things that are unique to do.  We enjoy finding things that none of us have done yet.   This time one of the things we did was to walk across the the Brooklyn Bridge and go to DUMBO.
About half way across the bridge, I knew I was in trouble with my feet.

I had worn the most comfortable pair of sandals I had.
They never really caused me problems with my feet.   I am not sure why, but this time, they were not comfortable in the least.

I could feel blisters coming on both of my feet, especially my left little toe.   My right foot felt bruised on the bottom also.   My feet were just plain hurting.

I have been having a lot of trouble lately with finding shoes that are comfortable for my feet.  I have a closet full of name brand sneakers that are all suppose to be designed for comfort.  None of them work.  Every pair of sneakers I have hurt my feet unless I use more padding with foot insoles or inserts.  Then, that makes the shoe too thick when I put my foot in.

Do any of you find that sneakers make your foot cramp between the toes and the arch of your foot?
I have a terrible time with that.   My feet are so thinned skinned on the bottom of my feet .... I have no meat on my bones so when I wear shoes, I feel every hard spot I step on.   I have SISSY feet!!

I didn't receive the OOFOS Shoess until I got back from my vacation.  Actually,..  they came a couple of weeks later
I can tell you, my feet were still sore, bruised and tender.  Where the blister was, I now have a hard piece of skin that makes it sore to walk on.  I couldn't wait to try the OOFOS.

The first thing that came out of my mouth when I put my battered feet into the OOFOS was OOOOO..... Ahhhhhhhh! They actually felt comfortable.  But just putting a pair of shoes on is not going to tell me anything about the comfort of the shoe.

Now for the real test.  I walked at Presque Isle State Park in Erie Pennsylvania for miles in my OOFOS.  There are about 13.5 miles of trails and I walked most of it in my OOFOS.  No problems at all.  No more new blisters and the OOFOS are so padded that I didn't feel my old blister hurting.
I don't ever want to take these shoes off ... EVER!!

So now look where my OOFOS are taking me.

So tell me, What am I going to do in the winter when it is too cold to wear my OOFOS?   They do sell clogs and slides... but we get SNOW... LOTS OF SNOW in Pennsylvania.

I did receive product which facilitated this review-but I was not asked to do a review-I so loved the product I'm doing it anyway!

  1. These looks ultra comfy! I need a pair of sandals for all of this summer walking - I never wear sneakers.

  2. Good luck in the winter lol frost bite could come due in those. I have to wear shoes everywhere, so know about pansy feet.

  3. I was just looking at these shoes the other day. I love my sneakers but they suck in the summer. I am very much a flip flop girl.

  4. Maybe you could wear them with sock when it's not snowing ;-) I had foot problems and oh my goodness I now understand the importance of 'good' shoes.

  5. If it weren't for that little thingy between the toes I would totally snag a pair of these.

  9. These OOFOS sound amazing. It's like wearing a memory foam mattress on your feet. I have a terrible time with achy feet and cramping arches, so these might just be what I've been looking for.

  10. when I was pregnant, these were the ONLY flip flops I could wear. Yes, they are super comfy and the arch support is amazing! Love 'em!

  11. Oh I need a pair of these. I have such a hard time recovering after long races (half marathons, full marathons) and these would be perfect. Even after a long day of wearing heels, I could see me wearing these. Love!

  12. I have problems with foot pain and see a podiatrist frequently. He smiled when he saw my Birkenstocks and said "Those are great!" I've only found a couple of their styles to be comfy enough though and they are both sandals.

In winter I wear Arcopedico leather shoes, but they are so expensive I watch for them on ebay.

  13. I really would love a pair in blue I'm always wearing flipflops and my toes seem to get so sore and dry or my heels tend to dry out I've been looking for a more comfortable footwear to wear during the hot summer as I don't like my feet in running shoes all the time during the summer. I think it's wonderful you got to try a pair to review.

  14. It can be so hard to find comfortable footwear, especially when you're a diabetic like me! Glad they're working for you.

  15. They do look comfy! I'll have to see if they make a style that doesn't have a thong that goes between the toes.

  16. These shoes look interesting. I would like to try them. How does the flip flop between the toes thing impact on comfort?

  17. These look really comfortable. I bet they would be great for someone who has plantar fasciitis. I need to try a pair of these.

  18. Comfortable sandals are a top priority - summer travels, I HATE having to put on sneakers because I know I'll be walking all day. My feet get too hot! And let's face it, socks and tennis shoes don't always go with your cute summer ensembles!

  21. I've actually read about oofos before and heard that they are indeed very comfortable. I may just get me a pair because once I'm fully recovered from surgery I intend to do a lot of walking.

  22. I'm not familiar with them, but I'll have to check them out. I have the worst problems with my feet and never think shoes are comfortable!

  24. This is perfect. I need these, like, right this very minute. I get horrible problems with my feet as well and I'm always looking for comfy shoes to wear for long periods. Next time I am in the States I will have to look into getting a pair.

  27. That's cool that they're making your back feel good. My husband hides his OOfas from me so I won't steal them. I'm going to buy my own here soon. Pink so none of the guys can 'borrow' mine. ;)

  28. I have some pink oofos and I love love them super comfy to walk around

  29. Those types of shoes are the only types of shoes I could wear when I was prego with my boys. My feet swelled so bad! Even when I wore Crocs I had little circles all over the tops of my feet. It was bad. I wish I had known about this brand.

  30. Oh I need me some pink oofos. They are super cute! I live in flip flops the kind that have no support and flat, it takes a toll on my feet.

  31. I love wearing flip flops and can tell right away if they are good shoes or not. Looks like you found some shoes that not only feel good, but are cute too!

  32. My hubs has sissy feet too, so he could really use a pair of these. I adore the hot pink color you chose Terry! Very stylish!

  33. All my tennis shoes are really comfy! These sound like they would be super comfy as well.

  34. I wonder if they have the other type ...the one without the stripe in in middle .

Yea...gotta find good footwaer else will get blistered feet :(

No joke. a friend's mom who is diabetic went for a walk with the wrong footwear. Came home with blister and it became worse. End up had to amputate a leg.
