I still have no idea what I really want to do. I decided to just paint it until I can figure out what I really want done.
Here is a picture of how bad the cememt looked before the redo.
There was old glue on it from the previous owners who glued an indoor outdoor ugly green carpet on it.
Plus, there is a crack that goes the whole way across the patio.
First, I cleaned the porch as well as I could, then I patched the crack that went the whole way across the porch.
Next, I put an off white base coat on it using white outdoor cement paint.
I know the off white doesn't look very white, but that was because of the time of day I took the pictures.
Last, I took a rag and stamped a darker color onto the off white.
At first, I wasn't so sure I liked it, but the more I looked at it, the more I liked it.
And here is a picture of after with my old furniture. Wouldn't it look even nicer with new furniture?
So now I need to get myself another outdoor carpet and some new patio furniture.
What do you think? Doesn't the cement on my back porch look a lot fresher and cleaner?
My next big project is getting our garage cleaned and more organized.
