Anchor Bay Entertainment DVD Review ~ Ashley Turner Element Yoga For Strength And Flexibility

I know, most of you that have candida and are reading this, suffer with low back pain.  I am not sure why but it seems,  that back pain is something that comes with having candida.   I also have a lot of neck and shoulder pain.

I have found something that really, really helps with the low back pain, plus the neck and shoulder too.  Even if you don't have candida and have trouble moving because of stiff joints or joint pain.  This might help you like it has helped me.

FYI, I am 62 years old, I  have also had a complete hip replacement so there are some exercises and stretches that I just can't do or I would pop my hip out.   You just have to be smart and know your limitations.

What I have found to help my aches and pains is Yoga.  You heard right Yoga!!  Not only is it making my pain go away, it is making me stand straighter.  Not standing straight  is something that worries me because I am at the age where osteoperosis makes us look bent and old.

So, are you ready for some Yoga?  Want to strengthen your core muscles?  Want to look and feel younger?

When this DVD started out, I thought.. This isn't going to be so hard.  I didn't think this would be enough to make me even break out in a sweat.
Easy Peasy Right???  Hahaha.. You just wait!

Guess again? Not so easy peasy as I first thought.   I can feel it stretching not only in my Abs, but my back muscles.  Exactly what I am looking for.  My back needs strengthened and we all know, if our stomach muscles are out of shape, our back soon follows.

I never, ever want to be one of those old ladies that falls down and can't get up. NEVER!!

One thing I really like about Ashley as an instructor is... she doesn't go so fast that I can't keep up with her.  This is a perfect tape for someone like me who is just beginning yoga, but don't get me wrong, Ashley gave me one heck of a workout.  I could feel it working over my entire body.

I can always tell the minute I finish my workout if it has been a good one.  I feel less pain and stronger.  Believe me! This was a very good workout.

Next week, I am having some girls over to workout with me.... All I need now is some CUTE yoga clothing!   I think when you do yoga, tighter fitting clothing works the best.

Yoga is a great way to generate (overall) health, vitality, and joy in your life. Filmed in a lush garden overlooking the Pacific Ocean, these two complimentary programs are specially designed to build strength and flexibility in the body, mind, and spirit. The invigorating Strength practice offers total body conditioning with powerful sequences that tone all major muscle groups, build endurance, cultivate mental focus, and increase energy levels. The gentle Flexibility practice unravels tension patterns in both the body and the mind by linking the breath to simple flowing movements that provide a total body stretch, increase range of motion, enhance agility, help reduce risk of injury, and ease all forms of movement. Practice in the morning to stimulate circulation and start your day with calm clarity. Or, practice in the evening to unwind away the stress of the day and prepare for a rejuvenating sleep.

    1. That is my whole problem Liz. My pot belly. If I could control it, I would have the tiger by the tail. This really seems like it is helping with the muscles in my stomach.

  13. Wow if you didn't say your age I would never have known. You're in great shape and look amazing. I did yoga when I was pregnant with Madison and it really did help out a lot. I haven't done it in quite a while and this looks like a great workout.

  17. I've never done yoga and get nervous to go to a class where everybody would know what they were doing. This would be a perfect way for me to start out! And way to go being brave enough to show photos of yourself doing it. I'd never guess you are just a beginner.

  18. Look'n good Kiddo
Your form is great. I'm still on 12 on my reps, only a little over half way there. Yipes. I don't know what the pose is called where you lean on one arm and sideways raise yourself off the ground but you look great doing it and it takes strength. I can't do it.
    good job.

  24. I am not flexible at all. I love yoga because it works so many areas where I am weak. Unfortunately, because I am so inflexible, I am extremely self-conscious trying to do yoga in the classes at my gym. I'd love to do it at home. Thanks for sharing this option!

  25. Great review! And great job keeping fit! It's super important, and is it weird that the whole "I've fallen and I can't get up" thing is one of my biggest fears? My grandma is 80+ and still as limber as ever. She had a double knee replacement, and was back to normal within the year. She swears by yoga!

  26. You go girl! Terry you look fabulous! And it doesn't look like you would never get up if you felled down. I have always wanted to do yoga, and seeing you - making it look easy peasy - I am greatly motivated. Wonderful! Cheers!!
