How Do You Fight Colds And Flu? Immunophen Has Helped Me A Lot!!

I used to be one of those people that hardly ever got sick.   Then I ended up with candida and would catch everything under the sun.  If someone just mentioned a cold or the word flu, I would get it, even though I made sure I got a flu shot yearly.

Candida wreaks havoc on our immune systems.  It made my body so weak that I couldn't fight back.    I needed to do anything I could to make my immune system stronger.

I always wash my hands often..... but I know for a fact that hand washing only goes so far.   I was a fanatic about washing my hands and I still ended up with parasites so that is why I don't think hand washing is all I need to do to protect me from a cold or flu.

One thing I did was start taking Immunophen.    I have been taking it for over a month now and "knock on wood"  I haven't been sick yet.

Over a week ago, My Hubs ended up with that awful cold that is going around.  I thought for sure I would be sick with it next.   Whew!!!  It passed me by.   So happy about that....  I don't want to have to take any antibiotics like so many are doing.     It seems no matter where I go, someone around me is SICK!!   I Don't Want It !!        I think it is the Immunophen is helping with my immune system.  I AM KNOCKING REALLY HARD ON WOOD!!

I also have a list of Vitamins and Minerals I take daily.   Liquid Magnesium Chloride, Potassium, Folic Acid, Zinc, Vitamin C, B Complex, Calcium, D3.   There might be more but I think that is about it.

So do any of you do anything special to fight Colds And Flu?

  1. The flu is going around here like wildfire, but honestly, I haven't done anything to prevent it. Meaning I don't get a flu shot or anything like that. I've pretty much just been washing the crap out of my hands and praying that I don't get it. I soooo don't have time to be sick right now......

  6. Good luck! The vitamin D you are taking is supposed to help protect you too. My doctor told me that the flu shot doesn't do much for people my age, that is, over 60, so he suggested I increase my intake of D3 temporarily to 8000 mgs a day. Of course I wash my hands frequently too.

  7. I get a flu shot every year. Luckily this year they were really head on with the effectiveness of the shot. None the less I still get sick often. My nine year old is always bringing home nasty germs from school. Right now my baby girl is sick though and I didn't get it so I'm thinking I must be immune to it because I probably had it before sometime in my life. I can't wait for this germy season to be over with!

  8. Amen to Alicia......I swear by grapefruit seed extract too. Marilyn had a chest thingy for a month that she couldn't shake. She couldn't breath one night and in desperation went to the ER and they gave her an inhaler and pills and she only got worse. She went on grapefruit SE and got immediate relief.
I'm glad you have avoided the flu. Traveling usually puts one in harms way. Sorry Hubs got it.

  9. Hubby takes Zicam the instant something starts going around and he next to never gets sick (dunno if they're related or not). He did get this big one though, almost all of us did, so...

    Hope your hubby's better soon.

  10. My husband does the Zicam too and swears by it, but it has never done any good for me. My immune system is very week when I am out of remission from my ulcerative colitis and I get sick very easily. I should definitely look into Immunophen to keep other illnesses at bay!

  12. I used to take garlic tablets regularly and was never sick, at least with colds or flu. I don't know if it was the garlic or I was just lucky. Haven't taken them in recent years and now have a raging cold/virus so I wish I'd been taking them!

  14. My doc does not recommend the flu shot for me. It's here at my work too. In Oct. my doc suggested I take Xymogen EP IgG 2000 DF. She said it is good for those with low immune systems. The other remedy I have is Oscillococcinum by Boiron. I take this on the onset of feeling sick. I also take
take Olive leaf, oregano oil, & grapefruit seed spray.

I agree....I can hardly wait until the cold & flu season is over.

    Wishing everyone good health

  16. The "Immunophen" sounds good combined with the wood-knocking. My spouse got sick Dec 16th and is still only just getting to feel a little better (Jan 17). After a couple weeks I got a cold. the day after Christmas we stayed in bed and slept all morning, afternoon and night. The next day same thing, slept day and night. Don't know how you can sleep for 48 hours but we both did.

I never know what to take, have heard of vit C and zinc et al but don't take. I do take alfalfa, kelp and dessicated liver daily, but don't think it relates to cold avoidance.

Hope you avoid EVERY illness that comes along.
