This year, I told my Hubs that we need to get each other something..... anything just to make it feel more like Christmas.
We decided to have a little friendly contest between each other.
I decided last January we could each spend $20 on each other. The person who gets the most bang for their buck WINS !! In other words, the person who gets the most for their $20 wins the game.
The person who wins, gets one wish from the person who lost. I have got to be the winner because I know exactly what my Hubs will ask for.
All throught the year, I have been entering contests and giveaways to try to win this contest. I have to charge myself $1 each for anything I gave him from a giveaway. That was my Hubs rule.... not mine.

Update::: Well leave it to my Hubs to find a loop hole in the rules. He won!! But, I got a new camera out of the deal so I am not going to complain.
That is an awesome idea. My hubby and I are pretty much the same way - if we need something we just buy it. Plus, I think it's much more important to make sure the kids have a winderful Christmas every year. We get each other small things to each other from the kids, but what we do every year is go away for the weekend in Feb or March and call it our xmas gift to each other. A weekend alone with him is much more special to me.

ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea! This year our family had an awesome christmas, not only the kids but us too! Oh and Alawna had an awesome Christmas too! You know your daughters spoiled when shes only two months and gets over $500 worth of toys and clothes! :)
