This week my Hubs is getting our garden ready to plant. We won't be able to plant it for a month or more, but the weeds were so bad that he is tilling early this year.
I don't have a very big spot and will be sooooo jealous to see some of your gardens. I will be GREEN with envy.
My poor rhubarb is trying so hard to make it this year. It has been so warm and then it gets cold and everything freezes. This got frosted once so I am covering it every night.
If you look really close, I have some garlic coming up. I see a weed also! Those roots go so deep on some of those weeds that all I do is chop at the root.
My parents usually grow a Spring garden but I am not sure if they are going to this year. I am really hoping they do because I love picking fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden.
ReplyDeleteWill hope to link up next week! My rhubarb looks just about like yours right now.
ReplyDeleteDef not a new post, but this week my husband and Isaak planted potatoes.
ReplyDeleteI am heading home for the weekend. I hope to get in the garden. If so I will be sure to add my link.

ReplyDeleteOh how fun. I will have to link up to this every week. I love getting outdoors and planting things. Your garden is so cute and I just love rhubarb and strawberry pie. YUM.
ReplyDeleteI've already planted some bell peppers and the little cucumbers for my sweet bread 'n butter pickles. I also planted snow peas.
ReplyDeleteFixing to plant tomatoes in a couple weeks. It is getting hot out but my spouse wants to wait a couple more weeks in case of a "freeze".
Thanks for hosting so fun!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like fun, but I haven't gotten any photos yet of my flower gardens and the veggie spots haven't been planted yet.
ReplyDeleteDon't you wish the weeds couldn't exist in gardens and flowerbeds? Sigh. :o)
ReplyDeleteI came over from Rural Thursday.
Have a wonderful day!
Beth
i haven't started anything yet :( we'll do some tomatoes for sure and definitely basil. i'm waiting for the ffa at the high school to start selling them, among other veggies, that's where i buy mine!

ReplyDeleteYou get the greatest ideas. YOU.... idea woman, ug. I think I'm slap happy from work. Ha.
ReplyDeleteI think your garden space looks pretty generous. I asked my son if he would put a greenhouse together and I didn't get an answer so I guess I take that as a no. Bob, the handyman will get another paycheck. UGGG
My rhubard is doing beautifully this season. I am going to make a pie today!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for sharing with Rural Thursdays!
I love rhubarb, but I'm the only one in my family that does!

ReplyDeleteI'm growing dust but I'm sure you don't want to see that. I have a friend growing flowers so I'll tell her about your linky.
