What is Candida and How Candida Destroys Your Health

Have you ever tried to explain Candida to someone who has no idea what it is or how it affects your body?
What Is Candida?
Candida Yeast Infection can be local or systemic There are many, both men and women out there that have a yeast infection that causes so many health problem and conditions.  Yet Doctors have no idea.
I need to completely remove this candida from my body or it will continue to grow and cause all kinds of ailments and complications.

Candida can devaste the body and cause all kinds of discomfort.

How Candida Destroys Your Health
Candida is a yeast that lives in the human digestive tract. It has the ability to change from a yeast and become a fungus.  Candida can be helped with eating properly and taking friendly bacteria that also lives in the digestive tract. The friendly bacteria eat the Candida and help balance the body.
Many of us end up with candida because of modern medicine.  Medicine like antibiotics, birth control pills, cortisone and chemotherapy that kill our friendly bacteria.

Eating junk foods, drinking alcohol and taking drugs can also kill our friendly bacteria.  So once we kill the good bacteria, the bad yeast grows and it grows faster than the good bacteria.  It can take over our whole digestive tract.    Before we know it, it grows into a fungus that grows roots that can get into the intestinal walls and then lets the yeast travel to all parts of our body.  Yeast will grow in our  sinuses, throat, liver, kidneys, colon, lungs, skin, most any place in our body. This is why it is so hard for anyone to figure out what is wrong with them.

I have been to many doctors and most of them have no idea, nor do they believe in candida.
We really need to find doctors who believe in candida and can do accurate testing.  That is the only way candida can be found.  Candida has so many symptoms that is is very easy to over look.   Candida Albicans is a negative yeast infection and starts  in the digestive tract, it then spreads to other parts of the body.  It becomes a strong, invasive parasite that attaches itself to the intestinal wall and becomes a permanent resident of your internal organs.  It grows roots and spreads.  It can cause so many different health issues and problems for many, many peole.

Candida grows into the intestinal wall, and that is when we have problems with digestion.  We can't digest our foods, therefore, we don't get our nutrients, vitamins and minerals.   When Candida penetratesthrough our intestinal wall it allows toxic substances to pollute our body. Once candida travels to other parts it becomes systemic candida and is even harder to get rid of.
Once candida enters the blood stream bacteria can find its way to the tissues causing things like sore joints, skin problems, chest pain, constipation, poor sleeping and so much more.
Many with candida have allergies to foods, dust, molds.

More and more women are showing signs of vaginal yeast infections.  We will never get rid of those until we get rid of the yeast growing in our intestines.

One yeast cell can produce more than 75 toxic substances that can poison us.  No wonder Drs have such a hard time believing in candida and we have such a hard time getting rid of it.
If we don't remove 95% of the candida, it will just grow back.

  2. Wow! So much information and such a shame that doctors can't seem to help people that they have to go through so much before being diagnosed. Enjoy your day!

  11. Maybe doctors should visit your blog for some help...some of them still don't totally believe in it...right? Dumb doctors!!!

  12. Goodness gracious. I had no idea there were that many problems associated with Candida, I don't recall us ever treating anyone with it so I wasn't even familiar with it until I started visiting your blog (my dr. might have been one who don't believe in it, I would hope not but I don't know because the topic never came up). Seems odd now that I look back on it, in all of my years of working for him, not one case ever being diagnosed with Candida.

  13. How long did it take for you to find out what was truly wrong with you; that you had Candida?

Have you ever seen a geneticist? I'd think with your sister and mom having the same thing as you that you could get some help through a doctor like that possibly.

I know 4 people that were misdiagnosed with one thing or another. One was my little Mica. Since he was born with a cyst under his tongue, had a staph infection and a limp walk they wanted to label him to be this, then that. We went to all kinds of doctors for really no reason at all. They set me up for worry; really for no reason at all. Part of me said, "It's better to be safe then sorry." Another part of me was getting really sick and tired of the co-pays, the making him wait to breastfeed and the time! It wasn't until we saw a geneticist that we got true answers. He was so smart and knew exactly that his problems were unrelated and how each one of his issues happened. Sometimes it just takes one website, or doctor to find answers.

Crazy because now my sister is visiting a geneticist in regards to Emerson. He's the only one in Omaha that has gone to conferences for SOFT, which is an organization that is in support for helping babies with Trisomy 18. He's the most knowledgeable. She's seen tons of doctors for her baby.

  14. PS I wonder how many people have Candida that do not know it? That would be interesting to find out. You wouldn't be able to because they don't know they have it though. They are just running around in circles trying to find out what they have.

  16. What test do doctors give that truly diagnoses candida correctly? I don't think I have it, but possibly my daughter. She has a lot of yeast infections and some of the symptoms. Thanks for sharing this info.

  20. Lisa,
thanks so much for stopping by.

    Walking On Sunshine,
It is a lot of information... sorry if I overwhelmed you.

    Grace,
Thank you so much for your kind words.

    Marj,
It is very mind boggling. I still don't have a grip on what it really is.

That is why it is so hard to get rid of. It will change on us.

    Social Studies,
LOL... it does stink, but life goes on, smelling a little worse

    Anthony,
You are welcome and thanks for stopping by.

    Tawna,
Doctors think I am crazy. Although, they do believe in some yeast infections, they just don't know how to really get rid of them.

    Terri
They are blaming candida and parasites on many illnesses. Not the Doctors of course...

  22. Alissa,
I bet there are a lot that have no idea they have candida. I was one of them for years.

    Grandma Bonnie,
    Thank you!

    Linda,
I hope is is something you never have to experience

    Cheryl,
It is very hard to get a Doctor to even do a test. I haven't found one who believes in candida so of course, they won't do a test for me. You can get an herbalist to do one and there is also a home spit test. It is listed on my side bar.

    Miriam,
I hope your sister can over come candida. It is so hard to do and then it will come back at the drop of a hat.

    Reena,
I too wonder that. Sometimes when people email me their symptoms... it sounds like candida to me but they think they have IBS, or something else. I am not a doctor so I can't diagnose.

    What I did today,
Thank you!! Hope your Mom gets to feeling better.

Your reply to Reema is funny. You say you are not a doctor, so you can't diagnose. Ha, ha, neither can they apparently!

  24. Your blog is great. I will check out more pages! It's nice to hear someone's experience. I read The Body Ecology Diet and I wonder if you read it and found it helpful or not. I am moving into a culinary/wellness career and would like to know if that's a good book, and I'll read your blog for more info.

  25. Hi Liz,
Once you get it under control, it is not so bad.

    dietiscorrect,
I have not read the Body Ecology Diet, but from your blog, it sounds like it is about the same as most everything you find on the web about trying to get rid of the candida. Personally, I wouldn't waste my money on it... because you can find everything for free on the web. The thing I have found, is what might work for me, might not work for someone else.

Candida is a very challenging illness.

  29. Wow! There is a lot that goes along with Candida. It is to bad the more doctors don't have all the information on it. Some probably think it's not even a real issue. I have Fibro Myalgia and I know what it's like to go to the doctor and have them think your crazy. No one knows your body like you do. Thanks for sharing all this information.
