Healing Cracked Lips ~ Do The Corners Of Your Lips Crack

For about a year now, My lips have been cracking at the corners.    I thought it had something to do with candida or possibly thrush.

The doctor I went to seen that and told me it was a vitamin B deficiency.   I told him I took Vitamin B Complex.   He said, it's not working.

Here is what he had me do.  First he started me on Liquid Magnesium Chloride FCC Grade.   He did this because I am not digesting my food nor the supplements I take.  That means I can take all the supplements I want and they won't work because I am not digesting them.

I took the Liquid Magnesium Chloride FCC Grade for 2 weeks.    Then he gave me a Shot of Vitamin B Complex and sent me home with a jar of Vitamin B Complex to take daily.

The Liquid magnesium is helping me to digest better.... but this is a slow process.  It is not going to happen over night.

The cracks in the corners of my lips are now healing so the Doctor was most likely right and it was a Vitamin B deficiency.    When I wake up in the morning now, my mouth doesn't hurt every time I open it.    Also,  the dry feeling seems to be going away because I am not using as much chap stick.

****This blog is for my own healing, if you read and try something I do... you will be trying it at your own risk. I do some pretty crazy things to heal, some work, some don't. So please, check with your doctor before you do anything I do.

  3. I do not know if this would help or not, but I found this website that explains how to make your own Lip Balm. It sounds really easy.

I actually was looking online - how to make your own soap. I got a PDF (to review) on how to do that, and I'm going to be writing that up hopefully next week. On the site I was looking up, it had other recipes (including the lip balm).

    Here's the site: http://teachsoap.com/
Scroll down to the bottom and there's a link.

I have lip issues in the winter as well. I'm a mouth breather because I have a deviated septum that never was fixed and I tend to be horrible and bite my lips or pick on them when I'm nervous or thinking about things. Such a bad habit that I do/not even thinking about it.

  4. Last year was the first year that the corner of my lips started cracking as well. I thought it was my lipstick and I've been trying everything. I'll have to mention it to my dr. and see if he can give me a shot as well. I take Vit B everyday but maybe my body isn't absorbing it.
