Ouch! I Stubbed Or Broke My Toe And Foot ~ Hurts!!! How I Am Healing It

Do you happen to have shoes you wear that make you trip?   I have this pair of shoes,  I call them my house shoes, because I only wear them in the house.  I don't like wearing my outdoor shoes indoors because it makes my carpets dirty.

So, I was dragging a suitcase through my kitchen to get it packed for our next trip... Suddenly my shoe kind of sticks to the floor.  Not sticks, but you know how rubber doesn't slide.  Anyway, I fell forward and my toe/foot got bent.  OUCH!!    I am hoping it isn't broken.  It is just a little swollen and red.   I will keep an eye on it . If  it is worse tomorrow, I will go get exrays.

These are were my house shoes.  I am getting rid of them.

Here is what I am doing for my Stubbed Or Broken Toe

. First I took a picture of my foot  to show you.... You can see the left is swollen

.  Next I put ice on it for 15-20 minutes.  I also put on my Hemotite Magnetic Bracelet To Help Get Rid Of Toxins and help with the pain.

.  I  took 3 White Willow Bark Capsules For Pain And Swelling

.  I put on a pair of open toed shoes that are hard on the bottom so I don't bend my toe/foot

Now I am going to go put my feet up to help with the swelling.  I will finish this post tomorrow.

Before I went to bed, I took more White Willow Bark Capsules and made an ice pack for my foot.

When I woke up this morning, my foot felt better.  I decided I had better go to the Doctor, just to be sure there was nothing broken.

3 hours later after the Doctor and Exrays,  They say my foot is fine.   Hurts like heck, but it will heal.

The Doctor told me to ice it and stay off of it today.

My feet look a little swollen and bruised, but it could of been much worse.

Manzanita,  The coloring book you sent me came in handy.   When I called the Doctor, I knew to tell him it was my 1st metatarsal and big toe that I injured.

  3. I hope it's better soon. Try getting some Arnica gel like they sell at health foods stores and Whole Foods. It may be a bit late, but it is priceless to keep in the house. The sooner you get it on the ouch, the better chance you have of minimal injury. I love the stuff! I was reaching for a box in the attic and it feel with the corner directly into my temple. I had a "goose egg" pop up. When I put the stuff on I stood in front of the mirror and watched it go away. I only had a small bruise that wasn't too bad and it went away exceptionally fast.

  4. LOL Tawna, I threw out the shoes. I need to find me a pair of indoor shoes that work well for me.

Hi Sandy, So happy you stopped by. It has been a long time since we have visited each others blogs. I sat most of the day reading a book with ice on my foot.

Great to see you. Thanks for the tip on the Arnica Gel. The next time I get around a Whole Foods, I am going to check and see if they have it.

  8. Hi! Oh dear that foot looked like it was rather painful.
I just dropped by to thank you for visiting Second Hand Rose, and leaving your sweet comment and compliment. (blushing smiley:o) Yes, all those faces are in my tiny back garden, (and I've even got a couple more I didn't post) and now the little blackbirds have fledged the nest I can finally sort out the border that's below the nest!
I'm wondering if your name is Kimberley? If so welcome new follower!
    Hope you comeback soon :o)

  10. Oh my, that did look painful. So glad to hear nothing was broken and its healing.

I'm curious to know more about Willow Bark, this is my first time hearing about it. I suffer from really bad neck/shoulder pain that causes awful headaches. Could this replace my advil, which doesn't really help all that much anyway?

  11. I have heard of willow bark, my great grandmother used to make a tea with it, but I did not know it could be purchased, but then again I do not know much about natural healing. So sorry about your foot, ouch! I actually have athletic shoes that I wear only in the house because I have always stubbed my big feet on everything and over the years I have broken 3 toes! I have been wearing shoes in the house for about 5 years now and they also seems to help keep my feet from getting achy and sore as I am on my feet about 20 hours a day keeping up with 2 boys with autism!
