Curing Candida Will Consume Your Life

Candida is a devastating illness.  To cure candida, will consume your life.  You will wake up thinking about it and go to bed thinking about it.   I know there are worse things out there than candida... but if you don't cure the candida.... It could be you with one of the worse things.  Candida can lead to many illnesses.

To take any sort of a vacation is so much work that you will wonder if it is worth it.   I had to drag almost every meal with me because I never knew if I was going to be able to find something to eat at a restaurant.

I also have to drag my drinking water with me so I don't get into chlorine and flouride.... these two thing will kill off your good bacteria and let the bad bacteria grow out of control.  I always make sure I have bottled water with no chlorine or flouride in it.

Even though I am now cured of candida, I still take my probiotics with me where ever I go.  I also take digestive enzymes daily.... plus a lot of other supplements.  I need a suit case just for the stuff I need to drag with me.

I have to admit though... it is getting easier.  There are many more restaurants serving more healthy meals and many of them will cook the food to order.

Getting back to how Candida Will Consume Your Life...  First comes the Anti Candida Diet which is very, very limited.... but believe me.... IT WILL BE SO WORTH IT WHEN YOU ARE CURED.   Here is How I Cured My Candida.

It has taken me over one year to really start feeling like I am going to beat candida.   I thought so many times that I had it kicked.... and then.... something else would crop up..... so don't despair....  Keep on the diet and don't let any nay sayers push you around.

People would come up to me and say... you are getting really skinny.. you better start eating.  WELL .... DON'T YOU THINK IF I COULD EAT.... I WOULDN'T... ???    I wanted to really tell people off and tell them to mind their own business.... but for the most part I kept my mouth shut and vented on this blog by writing what I was going through.

You will need to make sure you have a good support system because.... Candida is all you can think about  and talk about.   If you go to a restaurant with friends.... they are ooohhiinng and aaahhiiinnggg over their food... while you sit with a plain piece of chicken and a lettuce salad with no dressing on it because dressing makes you sick.    They drink a nice glass of wine while you have your bottle of water.  JUST DOESN'T SEEM FAIR!!    Well..... you better get over that, because you have got a long road ahead of you.

I can now go to restaurants and watch friends and family eat my favorite HOT FUDGE BROWNIE SUNDAE and not even want a taste.   I will never go down that sugar road again.

So, how has Candida consumed your life?

Update....  After going through all the above, I tested candida free..... but..... I still had a burning tongue.  Eventually, I found I had Parasites.  I have finished  2 8 more than 15 parasite cleanses.

  3. I agree candida can consume your life. But once you reach a certain point, it no longer bothers you as much.

  5. Thank you for the validation! I have been on the anti-candida diet for a little over 3 months and it's tough, but I am feeling so much better. The tough part is feeling like I don't want to go out with friends - to eat or for happy hour - just so I can drink water while they eat and drink whatever they choose. After two years of being diagnosed with Lupus and not feeling better on the meds, I knew there was something else going on. And now I feel hopeful that I can feel better! I have many days where I still feel sorry for myself and know that I have to kick those feelings - that it could always be worse. But, it's good to know that we aren't alone and that it's important to help educate others. Thank you for your blog!

  6. Hi Susan,
So happy you are feeling better. It takes awhile to completely heal, but you will get there.

  7. Yes, buying the right food, cooking it, and even having to think about this special diet takes lots of time. I am about 6 weeks into the Candida diet and have been on "killer" meds for a month and have rashes on my feet and legs that drive me crazy. I hope this is the die-off and the toxins leaving my body. I believe I have a long road ahead. I have found one good thing, though, and that is that I am now educated about something I had never heard of before. I learned it all on the internet. Currently there are three people I know of that have unexplained uncurable illnesses, and the doctor doesn't know what is going on, but I suspect that candida is the underlying cause. All 3 are being treated with antibiotics, which is the worst thing they could do. I feel like I have my own secret to good health but I can't just butt into other people's business and tell them that I think I know more than their doctors. Doctors are why I am here today, talking about getting rid of candida. I spent 3 years coughing, had asthma that put me in the hospital for 7 days, and had sinus surgery. I had numerous rounds of Levaquin, Biaxin, Bactrim, Cipro, every asthma inhaler available, and had steroid shots and steroid pills, and IV steroids in the hospital to try to fix my problems. It has been a miserable few years, but when my foot broke out in blisters a few months ago, I did my own research on the internet and took it from there to find my own diagnosis, along with a new doctor who is "Integrated Medicine", and uses holistic methods instead of poking me in the butt with another steroid shot. For the first time in years, I feel good, except for the terrible itching, and think I have found my own cure and the explanation for my numerous illnesses. Doing the diet and taking the meds are absolutely worth it, even if it is a hard thing to do. Thanks for this blog.

  8. Maxx,
It sounds like you took a page out of my mental book. I know all about Doctors. I spent two years listening to them when I could of been healing. They just have no clue when it comes to candida.

I actually had one doctor tell me that Herbs can kill me...... They almost killed me with their prescription medicatiions.. JERKS!!

Have you done extensive parasite cleansing? The rash is probably die off, but I did not heal fully until I did a few parasite cleanses.

I have a little die of rash on my chest right now. I am detoxing from heavy metals. Although I am better, it is probably going to be a fight to stay this way for the rest of my life.

I don't really eat special any longer... I just never eat sugar, not unless someone sneaks it in on me. Hate when that happens.

    Hi,

Did candida give you hair loss?

  10. lilynne,
I didn't get hair loss, but my sister did. Her herbalist told her hair loss is a sign of parasites

  13. Have you been doing parasite cleanses? That and the alkaline diet is why I feel good now.

  14. Hi Kim,

I've almost completely killed of Candida as well! It's been almost 2 years in the diet, and I'm wondering if there will ever be a day when I *can* begin to eat sugar again in fruits, etc. Your thoughts?

    Joe

  15. Hi Joe,
I can eat fruits with no problem. Cane sugar, I am not sure of because I just don't use it any longer.

I usually eat maybe 3 or so fruits a day. It is like my candy but it took me awhile to get there.

Have you done a parasite cleanse? Parasites are the reason I wasn't healing. I didn't believe I had parasites until the person I gave you the email for told me I did.... I still didn't believe it until I did their parasite cleanse and got out a worm. I had done other parasite cleanses but they must not of worked.

You can email Humaworm and they can probably tell you if you have parasites just by your symptoms.
postmaster@humaworm.com It's free and worth a try. Thanks for stopping by. Terry

    Hi,

I started getting ill about 14 months ago, but it took me a long time to give up on drs and realise I had candida. I am 3 months into the diet after a week detox, but I have really struggled and am about to start with a detox again.

I have had to change my life a lot to accommodate the candida, but at least now the fatigue has ended. I have a lot of trouble with my tongue and with fatigue when I relapse into a bad phase again.

I try to eliminate all sugar, caffeine, lactose, wheat, gluten and alchol. I try sleep at least 9 hours a night and stopped all intense exercise. I take 3 lac (1/2 a pac a day as anymore gives me swelling in my face and mouth), Dida, vit C, B12 and use sunflower oil to cleanse my mouth in the morning. I try drink a lot of water.

I moved to a new country recently so its been harder as I can't find the health foods I need for the cleanse.

I just wanted to say thanks for your blog, I have felt very alone, but my boyfriend has been beyond supportive.

Thank you so much for your comment.

I can imagine how hard it would be to move to a new country and find healthy foods. I have trouble going from State to State sometimes. When we travel, it seems I drag my food with me so I don't have to eat things I don't want.

Happy to hear your boyfriend is supportive. We need that when dealing with this terrible disease.

5 years ago a uroligist misdiagnosed a male yeast infection and it has turned systemic. i took diflucan and it made me feel better for 6 months but the infection came back 10 times harder. beware of taking too many anti-fungals as this will cause resistance and make the candida harder to cure. i am 20,000 in medical debt and no doctor has recognized my situation. im being eaten alive by a curable disease in america. the natural cure doesnt work for me bc of the resistance after diflucan so without IV antifungals i will stay in this death grip that candida has on my life. im so glad i found this blog bc its nice to know im not alone in my struggle. thanks

Have you tried a parasite cleanse? I found that is more my problem than the yeast.

  20. Halloween 2012 finally sent my waning health over the edge and forced me to address my addiction to sugar. I've been suffering a rainbow of symptoms caused by candida; however, it took me 2 1/2 months and countless hours of research to figure out that candida is the cause of every health issue I've been experiencing. The symptoms of candida and parasite infestation feel very random and have no rhyme or reason, so seeing so many of my symptoms together on this blog became the "holy grail" moment on my path to healing my body. Next week I am starting the Humaworm candida cleanse followed by their parasite cleanse. The research alone has already consumed my life and I'm sure the cleanses will be even moreso. I'm fine with that. I just want to be well again, and my boyfriend says he "has my back every step of the way." Thank you, Terry! I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found your blog.

Glad to hear your boyfriend has your back because you are sure going to need someone. If you need to talk, let me know.

    Can Men get this ?

  23. Jere,
Yes, men can get candida. Especially if they have done antibiotics.

  24. My nutritional therapist suggested this diet to me, and she has done it herself as well. I had the problem that no matter what I ate, or drank (even plain water), I would get sick, and barely any of it would stay down. I got told by my doctors just to eat less, and exercise more. I am mobility impaired due to disability, and I was either never hungry (I would forget to eat for DAYS if I wasn't reminded) or what I ate would come right back up. I still really have no appetite (I've actually had people ask me, "How can you forget to eat? You're fat." They don't realize that my not eating was making my body go into starvation mode, and hold onto anything it got.) but I don't get sick after I eat, which is awesome. I'm not losing the numbers on the scale yet, but I have more energy, I don't feel as sick all the time (though the first week on the diet was really a doozy of a migraine and other issues) and I'm fitting into clothes I couldn't get into for months. Thank you for having this blog. It is nice to see the journey others make as well.

  25. Dina,
Funny you should mention forgetting to eat. I used to do that for years before I found I had candida. My Hubs could not figure out how I could forget to eat. I too used to get sick on plain water.

The migraine you had was most likely the candida dying off and creating toxins. Toxins give me a super headache.

Also, from my experience... If we have candida, we most likely have parasites.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

    1. Since most Doctors won't test... and when the do, the tests come back wrong,.. you just have to see them. I didn't see them until I did the Humaworm parasite cleanse.

    1. Christine,
The most important thing for me was to give up cane sugar and stop eating so many carbs. Especially gluten. I eat a lot of vegetables.

It isn't just South Africa that doesn't have any idea about candida. It is hard to find a Doctor to help us here in the US.
