Natural Help To Heal Thrush

NOTE: This blog is for my own healing, if you read and try something I do... you will be trying it at your own risk.  I do some pretty crazy things to heal, some work, some don't.  So please, check with your doctor before you do anything I do.

Every morning, I wake up and my tongue is coated with a white coating.  That is what they call thrush.  Some get it a lot worse than I do and their mouth itches.  I just wake up with a white tongue and dragon breath.

I read that Oil of Oregano, helps to kill thrush in the mouth so I have been brushing my teeth once a day with Oil of oregano.   My Oil Of Oregano is in a capsule so I just open it up and put it on the toothbrush.

My teeth feel so clean after brushing with this and Oil Of Oregano is suppose to cure gum infections and stop plaque build up,  so I am going to continue to use it once a day.

The oil of oregano must be helping because I can see more pink on my tongue than I could before.  I am not sure how long it will take to cure this but I am in for the long haul anyway.

I want to give you a heads up though,,,,  this stuff is spicy and makes my lips kind of burn.  You could cut it with another oil if it is to much for you to handle.

Also the oil sticks in the tooth brush and every time I brush my teeth I taste it.   I even tried putting my tooth brush in boiling water to clean it.  That didn't work either.      I will just have to change it a lot more often than I do.

UPDATE...  The Brown Listerine will help get rid of the thrush.  If you have a sinus problem, the thrush might be coming from that.

UPDATE...  I found that candida in the sinus cavity was causing me to have thrush, ringing in the ears and a  burning tongue.

I did these  things to get rid of it.

Stop Ringing In Ears

Maybe you should try just rinsing your mouth like a mouthwash with the oregano oil. I'm going to try that!

  2. That is a good idea. I do sometimes put it under my tongue and then swishing it around.

What I ended up doing is just having a toothbrush for the oregano oil and one for just brushing my teeth.

  3. This wouldn't work for Abby, she hates spicy. I'm not certain she has thrush but she said her mouth hurts in the top and I looked in and it's whitish. She gags so easily that I can't really get a good look but I need to if she takes a nap. Somehow. I'm looking for a home remedy for thrush in case that is what she has. One of my kids got it once when they were small and they gave me a paste to put on it. Every time I tried they gagged and puked. I'm hoping to avoid that. ICK!

Hey, listerine can actually cause thrush because yeast is always present but when the bacteria that helps control it is killed it multiplies. Also a tongue coated in plaque may not be a sign of thrush if there is no pain and if there are no patches, it may be good to brush with the oregano oil anyway though :)
